What paper is used for prints?

All of our photographs are printed on Canson Rag 100% cotton paper that has a weight of 308 gsm. This is archival quality paper that will last over 200 years and are 100% cotton, acid, and lignin-free.

Framing Material & Process

All of my framing is done with a local professional art framer in Richmond, VA. Our premium frames are made of solid hardwood and manufactured in Vermont. We use lightweight museum grade acrylic with UV protection.

Extra Large sized prints are printed edge to edge and are framed without a mat board. All other frames are completed with a 3” mat.

Please note that framed prints are matted in a cold press style to ensure the most seamless finish of the print in the frame. This is a permanent process. If you do not want your print cold press matted before framing, please contact us in advance of placing your order.

Care instructions

To ensure the longevity of your photographic print we recommend the following:

Keep your print out of direct sunlight.

Have it framed by a professional framer with an archival quality mat board and lightweight acrylic.

Hanging instructions

Our frames come equipped with hangers. To ensure the safety of your artwork, please do not use picture wire.

Finished dimensions

The dimensions below refer to the exterior dimensions of the framed artwork. Please note: Small, Medium and Large sized prints are framed with a traditional mat board. The Extra Large sized print is printed edge to edge and framed without a mat board.

Shipping

Typical production time is 4 to 6 weeks for a framed print and 2 to 8 business days for a loose print. Please expect additional time for shipping and delivery post production.

Please note: During peak periods framing turnaround times may be extended. Please contact us for more information.

You will receive an order and shipping confirmations via e-mail.

Returns

Purchases of photographs and framed prints are final. We are unable to accept exchanges or refunds of prints for change of mind.

If your print has been damaged in transit please notify us at hello@alyfickprints.com within 7 days of receiving the shipment.Please make sure to open your package within this time.

Please keep all original packaging and the print as we may require photos or the original print to process your claim.
